But did you know that the actor has also had a fat-to-fit-transformation? Rajkummar Rao gained 11-13 kilos owing to his role in the web series Bose – Dead/Alive. He not just gave a stellar performance in that web series but also ended up losing all the extra weight in no time.

In one of his interviews with Mid-Day, he quoted that he was prepared to shed all that weight he had gained for this role. Also, he was expecting a sudden transformation, which needed a strict gym and diet requirement. A man of few words, Rajkummar Rao is counted among the most unconventional starts of the Bollywood and is known to grow with every role and film. In an interview given to Mid-Day, he confessed that he is a cardio and muscle training kind of a guy and loves to sweat it out in a gym or even without any equipment, despite a busy schedule. He is more of regular, freehand workout types. His workout mainly includes:

To shed all that weight he had gained for the web-series, Rajkummar Rao had to undergo a strict diet. In one of his interviews to a leading portal, he said that to gain all that weight, he was open to eat everything under the umbrella, including parathas, biryani, pizzas, etc. As actors, diet is a significant part of their fitness journey, but here it was Rajkumar Rao’s luck to gorge on all the yummy fats and ghee just to fit into the role. However, to shed all that weight was one journey. For that, he had to skip breakfast or lunch and have a protein-rich dinner coupled with some heavy gym sessions to shed all that weight and get back in shape.
