Mandira Bedi’s workout and diet plan is what fitness goals are made of, the actor follows an intense exercise routine throughout the week and binges on cakes and chocolates on weekends. And, she says, you can have the best of both worlds too
Mandira Bedi, who made her debut with TV serial ‘Shanti’, seems much younger than her age. Can you believe she turned 47, five months back? Yes, that’s true. Mandira Bedi married director and producer Raj Kaushal and was also seen in the 1995 film ‘Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Recently she was seen in the movie Saaho and the audience wondered how she still looks like the ‘DDLJ’s Preeti’, so fit? Here we have all the answers to your questions.
But before that, here’s a question! When you think about weight loss, workout or fitness, many questions come to your mind, such as:
- how to start or initiate the process?
- how long to exercise?
- which workout will be right?
- which exercise will get quick results?
Don’t worry, as with this article, we are going to give you some inspiration from Mandira’s beauty, diet, and fitness secrets.
15,000 steps every day
Mandira enjoys exercise and workouts, hence she has a goal to spend at least 5 days a week (sometimes 6 days) doing some physical activity, whether it is a gym or swimming. When she travels (she does not waste time in the room), instead she walks a lot, approximately about 15,000 steps per day (takes care that these numbers are not reduced).
- Mandira recommends eating healthy, as one knows what’s good for you and what’s bad.
- Stay away from sugar (it is not good). She shared that, she had to give up sugar for a long time because it was her weakness.
- Stay away from potatoes. Mandira doesn’t take any kind of carbs after lunch. So, these are things that you can do to keep yourself fit.
P.S Mandira also celebrates her cheat day, but I make up for it on the very next day.
Mandira’s fitness mantra: Cardio, weight lifting and running
Mandira said that she follows HIIT (high-intensity intermittent exercise), which includes both cardio and weight-lifting for continuous three to four days. She also often go for running and the third thing that is swimming. So these are some exercises that are Mandira’s favorite.
How to begin?
Mandira states that one should start running with 5 minutes. Moreover, those who are about to start running, let them know that they are taking a very good option (motivate them). Set some small goals in your mind and gradually make them bigger. First, run only five minutes and gradually increase it to ten, fifteen and twenty minutes after each week.
Mandira’s postpartum experience
Mandira said that when she delivered the baby, her only wish was to run again, but by then she had gained a lot of weight. So she started with five minutes, then changed it to seven and then ten minutes. Later she changed it into hours.
